ABVP lead  DUSU organised a sports event for the young enthusiasts of university, Famous cricketing star Zaheer khan shared his experiences

ABVP lead  DUSU, in association with Ferit cricket club organised a sports event for the young enthusiasts of university. Famous cricketing star Zaheer khan shared his experiences.

The event was organised today in the premises of Arts faculty, north campus, Delhi University by Akhil bhartiya vidyarthi parishad (ABVP) mentored Delhi University Students Union(DUSU) in collaboration with Ferit cricket club with the object of promoting sporting spirits and leadership tendencies among sports students.

Legendary cricketing star, Zaheer khan attracted huge crowd in the event wherein not only did he shared his precious life moments as a member of the Indian cricket team but also interacted with the students by answering their questions on a one on one basis. He advised and said that "every young sportsman should learn to focus on the minutest lapse on his part and work towards strengthening it. Failures are part of life and one should learn to appreciate them and continue enjoy every moment associated with it".

DUSU, President, Shakti Singh while highlighting the importance of sports said that "Delhi University is well known to have produced various internationally recognised sportsmen who have made our country proud on numerous  occasions and we hope they will continue to do that in future. I assure that, we will continue to hold such events on a regular basis and shall make every possible effort to provide appropriate platform so that the hardwork and dedication of every such sportsmen is well recognized and appreciated worldwide". 

ABVP's national joint secretary, Mr. Shrinivas, along with  State secretary, Mr. Siddharth yadav and State joint secretary, Ms. Mahamedha Nagar (former DUSU secretary) also recorded their presence.
